Poker Formats Available at ap8
Choose the format that best suits your playing style — whether you prefer a slow, strategy-heavy game or a fast format that puts you in front of decisions more often.
Texas Hold'em
The most popular format in poker. Each player receives two private cards and shares five community cards to form the best hand. Suitable for players of all levels.
Most PopularOmaha
Each player receives four private cards and must use exactly two of them together with three community cards. This format is more strategically demanding than standard Hold'em.
Deeper StrategyFast Format
Designed for players who want more hands in less time. You are moved to a new table as soon as you fold, significantly reducing waiting time.
High TempoHeads-Up
A one-on-one match between two players. This format tests a player's ability to read their opponent more directly and requires faster strategy adjustments.
One vs OneFixed Limit
Betting is controlled with a maximum limit per round. This format is more controlled in terms of bankroll management and suits players who prioritise discipline in their game.
ControlledNo Limit
Players can bet any amount up to their entire stack at any time. The most dramatic format, requiring careful risk management.

Basic Poker Strategy You Need to Know
Poker is not purely a game of luck. Good decisions are made based on available information — the cards in your hand, your position at the table, and your opponents' behaviour. Here are some basic principles to understand before sitting down at an ap8 table.
⬤ Understand Your Position at the Table
The player who acts last in each betting round has a significant information advantage. Playing more hands when in a late position (dealer/button) is a sound approach.
⬤ Choose Your Starting Hands Wisely
Not every two cards you receive are worth playing. Learn to recognise strong starting hands and fold weak ones early — this consistently reduces long-term losses.
⬤ Read Your Opponents' Betting Patterns
Pay attention to bet sizing and your opponents' action patterns throughout the session. Sudden changes in betting patterns often give clues about the strength of their hand.
⬤ Manage Your Stack
Set a loss limit before you play. Good bankroll management lets you play longer without financial pressure affecting your decisions at the table.
